Scientific cooperation of Iran and China will be extended in the field of addiction science

Development and expansion of international cooperation among Asian countries is one of the goals of holding workshops in the field of addiction science held by the support of the cognitive sciences and technologies.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the first joint workshop of Iran and China in the field of addiction science will be held in Tehran in the middle of August in order to deepen and develop cooperation among scientific and research centers of Iran and China in terms of implementation of joint research projects.

Announcing this news, Abbas Haghparast, the secretary of Iranian Neuroscience Society, stated: this specialized joint workshop will be held for Iranian and Chinese researchers and professors, aiming at developing the international cooperation among Asian countries.

He continued: laying the foundation for promoting joint clinical and basic translational research among the psychology research centers of China affiliated with the academy of science of this country and science and research centers of Iran are among the goals of the first joint workshop of the two countries in the field of addiction science.

Haghparast also asserted: this international specialized workshop will be held during August 16th-19th, 2019 in Tehran with the support and cooperation of several scientific and academic centers, including the brain-mapping laboratory, Shahid Beheshti and Tehran Universities, Tarbiat Modares University, University of Tehran, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, and lasers and plasma research center of Shahid Beheshti University.  

He continued: 13 prominent professors and researchers of Iran and China in the field of basic and clinical sciences will share their latest findings and information in the field of addiction science and will evaluate the opportunities for implementing joint research projects with the formation of specialized roundtables.
