Any type of scientific and practical cooperation in order to implement the marine technologies roadmap of the country will be welcomed.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, achieving independency in use of technologies required by the country and discontinue of need to obtain marine technologies from other countries, especially in the area of services and equipment, require the use of abilities and facilities of the country.

Peyman Zareian, representative of national mapping agency, pointed out the importance of development of marine technologies, stating: in meetings on preparation of marine technologies roadmap of Iran, the majority of technologies were related to dependent and independent tracking devices using GPS, deepening and sonar technologies, and need to obtain laboratory services, especially calibration.

He added: the mentioned technologies require management by the mapping agency of the country.

It is noteworthy that the marine knowledge-based industries and technology development headquarter has held several meetings to compile the marine technologies roadmap of Iran by using the domestic power in order to increase receiving technology in the maritime field.
