The secretary of Council for Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology spoke to the representatives of provinces on the 3rd festival and exhibition of medicinal plants, natural products and traditional medicine of Iran which is supported by this council. He mentioned:  “the resistance economy can be achieved by making use of knowledge economy. It can accomplish its objectives by relying on the inside. This is what we are going to attain at the festival and exhibition of medicinal plants, natural products and traditional medicine of Iran.”

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs, the specialized council of provincial representatives on the 3rd festival and exhibition of medicinal plants, natural products and traditional medicine of Iran was held in the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology. It was attended by Mohammad Hassan Osareh, The secretary of Council for Development of Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.

Representatives of West Azerbaijan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Yasuj, Kerman, Isfahan, Hamedan, Sistan and Baluchestan, Qazvin, Hormozgan, Lorestan, Qom, Fars, Tehran, Khuzestan, Ardebil, Mazandaran, Gilan, Lorestan and Ilam attended the meeting and described the state of medicinal plants and different species of plants in their provinces. They also elaborated on the capacity of each location and offered their suggestions on how to achieve more development in this field.
