According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Nosratollah Zargham, head of the Iranian national science foundation, expressed that holding this type of meetings will lead to peace, health, and beauty in the world during the meeting, expressing: exchange of thoughts have made it possible for all nations to have access to intellectual products, thereby placing them on the path of economic growth and providing a progress opportunity for all people.

In terms of the activity of the global research council, Zargham asserted: the core work of the council is being in collaboration with scientists of various countries. This common effort can lead to valuable achievements for all countries of the world, enrich thoughts, and eventually lead to higher effectiveness. Another valuable impact of this council is friendship, interactive work, and spiritual relations between countries, which ultimately result in global peace.

Reaching the Peaks of Knowledge

Pointing out the introduction of two topics for more exploration by the global research council every year and during regional and annual meetings, Zargham affirmed: the outputs of these meetings have always been important to the research world. However, along with scientific issues, we should not neglect the three dimensions of humans, which are body, mind and soul. This additional attention can guide us toward the peaks of knowledge. Coupled with each other, they can guarantee the happiness of mankind.

Exchange of Experiences and Ideas between Countries by Holding Regional Meetings

According to Zargham, the relationship between world research centers as well as participation in international research centers (e.g., GRC) can pave the way for the exchange of ideas and experiences of countries.

Equality and Improvement of Women"s Position

The president of the Iranian national science foundation pointed out the second topic of the meeting, expressing: equality and women’s position in research, belief of scientists, experts, and leaders is the topic of the next meeting. In the current world, countries have two benefits in terms of the development of science, technology and innovation in economic development and social welfare. On one hand, it provides the basis for increasing investment and, consequently, providing more research opportunities; on the other hand, it provides better conditions for women"s equality and promotion.

Increased Cooperation of Women in Research

Zargham affirmed: the global research council should develop general principles and frameworks, and, if necessary, help countries identify barriers to equality and promotion of women"s position in research. These documented frameworks and council guidelines should be comprehensively and be based on a comprehensive look at the development of women"s research and mission. Of course, increasing the participation of women in this part should not lead to a reduction in their key role in other sectors, which is the basis of the future scientific development. The role of women in managing their children"s talent, their physical development, and the shaping of the child"s personality is key to shaping the personality of children.

He pointed out that proper education of children could lead to a bright future of science, asserting: this role must not reflect position improvement in other fields and must be regarded as an accurate balance between role-playing tasks. In other words, men and women must complete each other by performing their missions. It seems that the position of women in research must be considered from the early stages, meaning family, school, and university, to reach equality and improve their position. By doing so, proper equality could be achieved naturally and in a sustainable manner, which is in contract to political views, where this type of equality is obtained falsely and has no sustainability.
