According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahmoud Khodadoust, advisor to the minister of health, expressed on the fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products, and Iranian medicine (traditional): this event has many advantages, and visit of this event by specialized forces will lead to achievements and start a wave in line with culture building of better use of natural and traditional products, which is of paramount importance.

He continued: on the other hand, perhaps the specialized forces will never be able to see all these efforts in the field of production of natural and traditional products in the country simultaneously in one place. Ultimately, this gathering between the elite creates a confidence that we can have in the production and cultivation of medicinal plants and standardization of natural products, which will allow the use of these products in the pharmaceutical, food, health, medicine and other industries.

Khodadoust mentioned another positive effect of the event to be the development of the foundation for job creating in the field of medical plants, adding: without a doubt, the festival is not for showing what has been done, but actually showing what we can develop and do, especially in the current situation and with sanctions against Iran, which has necessitated reliance on the indigenous power of the country to meet its needs.

He considers the approach of society, industry, elites and companies of knowledge from the first period of the festival to the present day, which is the fourth annual period of the festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products and traditional medicine (Iranian).

Director general of the Iranian medical office of the ministry of health and medical education pointed out the existence of export capacity for Iranian products, affirming: we have a unique country in terms of climate. In the area of medical plants, Iran has special species that if produced and sold, can increase the added-value of the country instead of selling raw materials.

The fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products and Iranian medicine (traditional) will be held November 11^th-14^th 2018 in Musala of Tehran by the efforts of the medicinal plants and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter.
