According to this report, 38% of the laboratories are from the private sector and 35% are under the supervision of the ministry of science, and the rest are related to other ministries.

The strategic technologies laboratory network is one of the subcategories of the Vice-Presidency that involves a wide range of laboratories in the country, from private laboratories to those related to ministries, such as ministry of science, ministry of health, ministry of agriculture, and ministry of energy. In addition, there are some laboratories existing in academic centers.

Today, more than 11 thousand laboratory equipment are presented along with more than 20 thousand services to researchers and industrialists, including the nano science. The standard organization, customs, food and drug organizations and some monitoring centers are among the customers of the services of the strategic technologies laboratory network.
