According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Peyman Salehi, scientific secretary of the 7^th national congress on medicinal plants, pointed out the holding of the event with the support of the medicinal plants and traditional medicine technologies development headquarter by the national network of research and technology of medicinal plants during 12^th-14^th, May 2018, expressing: the national congress on medicinal plants will be held in Tehran for one day, and its next round will be held in one of the towns of the country. Given the holding of the previous round in Tehran, this round will be held in Shiraz.

He introduced the main topics of the event to be agriculture and natural resources, basic sciences, pharmacy, medicine and veterinary sciences, industry and economy. In this regard, he added: 976 articles have been sent to the secretariat, 435 of which were in the field of agriculture and natural resources, whereas 306, 218, and 18 articles were in fields of pharmacy, medicine and veterinary, basic sciences and industry and economy. A total of 677 articles were accepted from all of the articles.

In addition to his emphasis on license of the event obtained from the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), he affirmed that the congress has concession for fields of medicine, pharmacy, agriculture, and veterinary sciences.

The 7^th national congress on medicinal plants will be held 12^th-14^th, May 2018 in the cultural and welfare organization of University of Shiraz by the national network of research and technology of medicinal plants and with the cooperation of medicinal plants and traditional medicine development headquarter.
