National Standards of Biotechnology Are Determined as Review and Pathology
The bio-economy working group of the biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to conduct pathology and planning studies to complete the compilation of standards required for biotechnology products with the ability of entering the market.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the bio-economy working group of biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to perform pathology and planning studies to complete the design of standards required for biotechnology products that have the capacity of entering the market. Among these studies are CEN standards, open-bio project, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and ASTM standards.
In addition, evaluation of standards related to the biotechnology and designed by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the standards of the ISO of the country, assessment of the regulations and programs related to biotechnology in higher-level documents of the country and interaction with the standard organization to establish the secretariat of “committee to design national biotechnology standards” are among the evaluations of the working group with the goal of compilation of national standards for implementation of national biotechnology standards in the country.
In addition, studies have been conducted in this working group to provide supportive mechanism packages in the area of supporting the entrance of biotechnology products into the market (government subsidies, correction of financial system, and provision of governmental tariffs).
