The international workshop on brain electrical stimulation and its applications will be held
The national brain-mapping laboratory will hold the international workshop of “familiarization with methods of brain electrical stimulation and their clinical, research and cognitive applications” during June 27th-28th, 2018.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, this workshop has retraining score with the goal of familiarization of experts in the fields of psychology with the applications of transcranial electric stimulation methods to improve neural performance. In addition, it is aimed to familiarize psychologists with these methods and researchers on neural sciences with the dimensions of research on pseudo-electric stimulation methods and the future research horizons.
This educational course includes transcranial electric stimulation methods with a direct current (tDCS), alternating current (tACD), random noise stimulation (tRNS), relevant methodological considerations, how to use electrical stimulation devices in the practical section of the workshop, research strategies and clinical applications, and methods to design relevant projects and improve nervous function. It is notable that the workshop will be held in the presence of international and domestic teachers.
According to this report, transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) has been regarded as a leading therapeutic strategy on mental health and a research tool for researchers of the field in the past decades. Different subtypes of electrical stimulation and its different therapeutic effects, as well as the research"s importance of each of these subcategories, increase the need for supplementary training. Enthusiasts of this field can refer to the website of the national brain-mapping laboratory with the address of http://nbml.ir for more information. This center was fully equipped with the latest equipment of the field by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs to provide services to researchers across the country.
