Meeting of the Vice President of Science and Technology and the Minister of Communications and Information of Kenya; Sattari: We provide the successful experience of Iranian knowledge-based and creative companies to their Kenyan counterparts

The Vice President of Science and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Kenya met in Nairobi during the presence of our country's high-ranking delegation of Science and Technology.

On the second day of his visit to Kenya, Vice President of Science and Technology Sorena Sattari met with Kenyan Minister of Communications and Information Technology Joseph Wakabamuchero in Nairobi, the capital of the country. The meeting was also attended by Richard Gatia, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The head of the National Elites Foundation, noting that the products of Iranian knowledge-based companies comply with international standards, said: "All these products are produced with the best quality and in compliance with international standards." Powerful Iranian companies can share their experience in this field with Kenyan companies.



Sattari continued: "These collaborations can be in the form of technology transfer, technical knowledge and setting competitive prices for knowledge-based products and services." The Iranian Center for Innovation and Technology in Kenya has also facilitated this space.
Referring to the establishment of the Iran Innovation and Technology Center in Kenya, the Vice President of Science and Technology said: "I promised to establish this center two years ago, and fortunately, with the cooperation of the two countries, we are witnessing its opening and commencement today." Use its capacities to develop bilateral cooperation.
 
Sattari invited Kenyan technology officials to travel to Iran and take a closer look at Iran's growing technology and the achievements of our country's knowledge-based.
The Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Kenya, Joseph Wakabamuchero, while thanking Iran for its efforts and the Vice President of Science and Technology to establish an Iranian Innovation Center in Kenya, said: "Iran has grown well in the field of emerging technologies." We are ready to use Iran's experiences in creating technology and innovation ecosystems.

He added: "The capability of Iranian knowledge-based companies in the field of advanced technologies is very important and we must emulate this type and development model."

According to the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Kenya, the country has a high capacity in the field of digital economy and communication and information technology; But these capabilities have not yet flourished well in their country.

He also said that using Iran's successful experiences in creating startups and knowledge-based companies is a special opportunity for Kenya.
After the meeting, Kenyan Minister of Communications and Information Technology Joseph Wakabamuchero and Richard Gatia, President of the Kenyan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited the achievements of Iranian scholars at the Iran Innovation and Technology Center in Kenya.

The Vice President of Science and Technology has traveled to Kenya for the second time at the head of a 40-member delegation of knowledge-based and creative companies to pave the way for the development of exports of their technology products. Also today, the Iranian Innovation Center was inaugurated in Kenya in the presence of the Vice President for Science and Technology.
