Marine database of Iran is launched

The working group of marine technologies development of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs launched the marine database of Iran aiming at integrating marine information as a comprehensive maritime site in the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the working group of marine technologies development established the marine database of Iran, which will increase the role of marine industry and will improve the marine culture of Iranians.

According to the announcement of this working group, the concern of promoting the role of marine industries in Iran and regional countries and even other countries of the world have emerged for many years and presence of such a website can improve the status of this significant industry.

The database (address: imarine.ir) contains various information in fields of marine industries, marine products and equipment, marine biding bank, information of marine companies, organizations, and institutes, marine multimedia information and marine data, such as books, scientific articles, publications, regulations and standards.

In a part of the database, a system has been created for registration and updating marine equipment and products for the first time in Iran, so that owners of marine industries and occupations could present their products and achievements. In addition, companies can be registered on the website free of charge to be introduced to others.
