The startup event of “Lidcotech” will be held to localize the industries of biosciences and new technologies with the support of knowledge-based economy and culture building development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the startup event of “Lidcotech” will be held in Ferdows city by the knowledge-based economy and culture building development headquarter in order to create occupations and improve the business environment in rural and less-developed areas in the North Eastern part of Iran.

This event will be held to institutionalize the sustainable and dynamic development and access of the country to an appropriate share of GDP by using biotechnologies, persuasion and motivation of cooperation of expert human resources in entrepreneurship and creation of economic added value.

Other goals of the “Lidcotech” include culture building and laying the groundwork for using biotechnologies in order to increase the quality of life of people, to create job opportunities through commercialization in knowledge-based companies and creating the ecosystem of innovation proportional to intelligent agriculture.

Areas

Areas of this startup include medicinal plants in arid areas (agriculture, processing, extraction of secondary metabolites, tissue culture, biotechnology, job creation), communication and information technology focused on e-commerce, mobile system, internet of things, agriculture and green information technology.

Other areas of the event include new and sustainable approaches to desertification, management of water crisis in agriculture (new techniques), animal husbandry centered on regional climate constraints, conversion industries and genetic inputs, crops, orchards, greenhouses and ornamentals, management and control of pests and diseases of agricultural area, prioritized regional renewable energies and ecotourism.

The startup event of “Lidcotech” will be held July 23^rd 2018 in Ferdows with the support of the knowledge-based economy and culture building development headquarter with the goal of creating jobs and improving the business environment in the rural and less-developed regions of the North East of Iran. It is notable that the event will be held in three levels of public, academic, and student focusing on projects based on the northeast climate of the country and in South Khorasan province.
