The vice president for science and technology believes that knowledge-based and startup companies can continue to grow and advance due to their creative and innovative nature. This feature has led to turning limitations into opportunities to show their strength and create values by this type of businesses.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the showcasing of power of knowledge-based companies in efficiency of economy of the country, expressing: the new generation of young entrepreneurs has founded companies that have transformed the traditional economic structure of the country. These companies, which have demonstrated their high ability to generate tens of billions of dollars, will soon move pass the largest industries and will be recognized as the first economic power.

Increasing Growth

Sattar expressed that this increasing growth depends on young, creative and graduated manpower, and stating that the conventional definition of growth should evolve. The most important step in this development is to change the attitude toward our main assets, which are human resources. The cultural and social approach needs to be transformed so that the private sector investor can see success in investing in creativity and innovation.

In this regard, he affirmed: knowledge that relies on raw material creates value added. Determination and Cooperaion

Sattari explained about serious determination and cooperation of all sectors of the province to create a suitable ecosystem for creative and entrepreneurial youth, asserting: all sectors of the society must have determination in order to eliminate the obstacles in the path of entrepreneurs. Making the work of these individuals more difficult is not ideal. We must behave in a way that the elites and the creative youth will be motivated to return and remain in the province.

New University

The president of the national elites foundation marked that in the new ecosystem, university must redefine its tole in solving the problems of the society with the help of creative businesses. In this respect, he mentioned: universities are an integral part of society and people"s lives, and their achievements in the form of products and services of innovative companies created by young people must be publicized. The university must believe that it will not go anywhere with the money of the government and will provide its revenue from the sale of technology, knowledge-based companies, and relationship with industry.

In another part of the meeting, Qasem Soleimani Dashtaki, the governor of Ilam, explained about the necessity of recognizing the capacities of Ilam in knowledge-based economy. Accordingly, he stated: introducing the climatic conditions and characteristics of the province of Ilam will motivate and encourage the elite and capable human resources for knowledge-based and innovative activities.
