An agreement was signed between the vice presidency for science and technology affairs and Iranian national standards organization, according to which both parties will receive deployment and implementation plan for issuance of license of conformity and product. By issuing the “Daneshnamad” license, specific knowledge-based products will be recognized better than before.

According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, by signing the agreement on the issuance of license of conformity and product for knowledge-based companies by Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs, and Nayyereh Pirouzbakht, head of Iranian national standards organization, knowledge-based companies will be allowed to receive license of conformity and product and also use the license of logo of “Daneshmand” on their products.

In addition to developing and implementing conformity and product certification and silence of “Daneshmand”, a foundation is created by this agreement to receive 17000 series of standards for issuing silences for knowledge-based companies. In addition, this agreement will lead to policymaking and formulation of basic principles and general guidelines of standards of these products at regional and international levels. This action could be associated with better familiarization with knowledge-based companies and presence in international markets.

Moreover, with the realization of this agreement, preparation and adoption of the national system of certification of conformity and evaluation of functional features and standards for knowledge-based companies based on registered standards for knowledge-based products and issuance of silence for these products, laboratories, which are members of laboratory network of strategic technologies, will also receive the 17025 standard after being approved and can benefit from the services of this standard.

The vice presidency for science and technology affairs will provide the foundations for joining of members of laboratory network to the network of labs affiliated to the standard through participation in the establishment of the map of issuance of international quality license. In addition, this department will support the creation of the institution for issuance of knowledge-based products at Iranian national standards organization and companies willing to receive the mentioned license.

The process of achieving the goals of this agreement will be followed up by the formation of a joint workgroup in the presence of vice president of innovation and commercialization of technology, and deputy of quality assessment organization.
