Knowledge-based Companies Will Enter the Food Safety Area

The Vice-Presidency has sought to realize programs related to food safety issue for some years now. This important issue has been emphasized by the Vice-Presidency several times. In addition, it has led to the development of biotechnology to make a call for the participation of knowledge-based companies.

The call is published with the goal of realization of knowledge-based economy in food safety field. It is decided for knowledge-based companies to cooperate with biotechnology development headquarter in three areas of agriculture and horticulture, livestock, poultry and aquaculture and food industry.

In the field of agriculture and horticulture, scholars can present their projects in various fields such as "plant nutrition", "pest control", "seed and seedling production", "conventional agriculture", "urban agriculture", soil disinfection and water consumption reduction, "smartening". And "Internet of Things", "warehousing and transportation" and "machinery and mechanization" to the headquarters.

Moreover, creative projects in the fields of livestock, poultry and aquaculture areas in the areas of "nutrition", "reproduction", "breeding", "medicine and vaccines", "modern breeding systems", "equipment, mechanization and intelligence" and "the Internet of Things" will be supported as well.

This project will be implemented in the field of food industry with the support of "processing and transformation industries", "non-profit foods", "food industry additives", "monitoring, production and packaging equipment" and “controlling the health quality of products".
