Iranian nanotechnology products are exported to 45 countries

The secretary of nanotechnology development headquarter stated: nano products of Iran are exported to 45 countries and we have witnessed 80-100% growth in nano market.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the 12th nanotechnology fair was inaugurated in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Reza Ardakanian, the minister of oil.

Saeed Sarkar, the secretary of nanotechnology development headquarter, expressed on the opening ceremony of the fair: for the third year in a row, Iran was ranked fourth in the field of nanotechnology, indicating that we have maintained the quantity and quality of science production. However, our goal is to gain higher rankings.

Sarkar continued: last year, 85 knowledge-based companies presented their achievements on the exhibition, which has increased to 125 in this round. In addition, there has been 50% increase in the number of attendees and more than 190 booths have been held.

The secretary of nanotechnology development headquarter pointed out the scientific growth of Iran in nanotechnology field in the past few years, marking: we were ranked 57 in 2010 by publishing 10 articles. Today, we have published more than 10,000 articles in the nanotechnology field. In addition, we have witnessed the establishment of 220 nano manufacturing companies and have presented more than 610 products to the market.

He mentioned that Iranian nano products are exported to 45 countries, asserting: we have witnessed 80-100% growth in nano market. In 2017, nanotechnology products of Iran had the value of 1400 billion tomans, which increased to 2600 billion tomans in 2018, a part of which is related to foreign countries.

According to the report, the exhibition was initiated on October 13th, 2019 at the location of the international exhibition of Tehran in the presence of 139 active units. In addition, 30 new products will be presented in the innovation section of the event. Industry and networking companies, technology development departments, specialized B2B programs, student tours, workshops, attendance at universities and research are other parts of the exhibition.
