The executive secretary of the sixth innovation and technology festival of Rabe Rashidi stated: this event and similar festivals have a proper capacity, importance of which is more felt today. In this regard, domestic products can be used to improve the economy of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Ali Jahangiri, the executive secretary of the sixth innovation and technology festival of Rabe Rashidi (RINOTEX 2018), expressed: the goal of holding this event is commercialization. We have aimed to use the exhibition as a tool to create interactions between suppliers and technology applicants.

He pointed out the special feature of the festival, compared to similar events, adding: in this event, the booths are not divided based on academic and science and technology parks or even province and city categories. In fact, RINOTEX is divided based on specialized zones, where each zone has its own specific topics.

The assistant coordinator for economic affairs and development resources of the provincial government of East Azarbaijan introduced the special zones of the festival added to this round of the event to be “smart city” and “technological needs of the defense field”.

Jahangiri explained: this year, the exhibitions with innovation and technology approaches cover better subjects. Despite the foreign policy problems of the country and sanctions against Iran, the activists of the field have concluded that business would be more balanced if we turn to domestic products. In addition, there is a significant difference between the price of domestic and foreign products due to the current rate of foreign currencies. This attention to domestic products will improve welcoming domestic products and services.

He also emphasized the presence of other countries, including China and Malaysia and neighboring and Asian countries, affirming: by introducing the domestic abilities, it will be possible to have better relations with other countries in terms of export.

The executive secretary of the sixth innovation and technology festival of Rabe Rashidi pointed out: at the end of each round of the event, the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research monitors the participants. In the last rounds, 7-14% of people attending the event were able to commercialize their products or develop their market. In this regard, our findings are in line with the mean success rate in other parts of the world.

Other goals of the event include introducing the technological needs of product and service providing organizations and agencies, creating interactions between academics and technologies with various executive and economic sections, developing regional, national, and international technological cooperation, creating a proper business space for science and technology elites and establishing knowledge-based companies, attracting investors (domestic and international) for knowledge-based investment opportunities and increasing the export of knowledge-based products and services.

This event encompasses 17 specialized zones, including innovation and technology in agriculture and biotechnology, energy (electricity and renewable energies), innovation and technology in oil, gas and petrochemical, innovation and technology of textile and apparel industries, water, medical engineering, cognitive and convergent sciences, nano, communications, electronics, and microelectronics.

Other zones of RINOTEX 2018 include automotive industries, spare making and machine production, communication and information technology, food industries, medicine and cosmetics, advanced materials, composite and road and construction materials, soft and identity-making technology (creative and cultural industries), research and technological activities of students, defense industries, educational and skill technologies and smart city.

The sixth RINOTEX 2018 exhibition will be held November 1^st-5^th, 2018 in international exhibition of Tabriz. Registration deadline for the event is extended to October 7^th 2018.
