Infrastructures are prepared for production of a 72-passenger airplane in the country

Chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration expressed: most of the infrastructures for production of 72-passenger airplanes have been created in the country. We hope that this airplane be manufactured with the help of domestic experts.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration, affirmed about the exploitation of a 72-passenger airplane in the country: exploitation of a 72-passenger airplane will be finalized sooner than a 150-passenger airplane.

He continued: most of the infrastructures for production of 72-passenger airplanes have been created in the country. Meanwhile, all infrastructures must be created to manufacture the 150-passenger airplane.

According to Manteghi, due to lack of preparation of all infrastructures for production of the 150-passenger airplane, it will be manufactured later than the 72-passenger airplane.

Chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration added: the 150-passenger airplane has several phases, first of which has been financially supported and concluded. However, the financial support of the second phase is not provided and the project has been stopped. It will be re-initiated in case of providing the budget for the second phase of the project.
