Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter announced the development of industry of production of basic biology chemical substance in the new year.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, stated about the development of biotechnology industry in the new year: development of industry of production of basic biology chemical substances is one of the major goals of the headquarter, which will be seriously followed up in the new year.

He added: in fact, according to the ASTM standard, biotechnology basic material contains carbon, which is produced over a short duration (a few years) through a biological process using renewable resources. According to this definition, wood, corn, soya, wheat and all of the components of plants and animals in general can be regarded as basic biology materials.

According to Ghanei, all of the goals determined in the biotechnology development headquarter will be seriously followed up in 2018, and results will be announced at the end of the year.
