Implementation of 30 projects in medicine and health

 

A cooperation agreement is signed between the Iran national science foundation and school of health of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, according to the agreement signed between the Iran national science foundation and school of health of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, it is decided to implement 10 research projects, 10 post-doctoral projects and 10 PhD dissertations.

In this meeting, Nosratollah Zargham, head of the national science foundation, provided some explanations on history, achievements and vision for three areas of activities and policies of the foundation and pointed out the support of scientific and research activities of faculty members and PhD students.

According to Zargham, the main topic of studies performed by faculty members and students might be related to the health of society members of the country. In addition, the major emphasized areas are healthy food, clean environment, weather changes, and changes in age pyramid of the population.

In the end, a number of faculty members welcomed the formation of this meeting in order to solve the problems of people by having a collective view toward the relevant issues. These research projects will be supported by the national elites foundation. In addition, the opinions of faculty members expressed during the meeting will be used in the future.
