Entrance of the country into digital currency field is significantly difficult due to lack of presence of any specific law in this area.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Alireza Daliri, deputy for management and resource development headquarter, emphasized the support provided by the Vice-Presidency in the path of creation of digital currency in the country during the specialized meeting of “crypto currencies”, expressing: this headquarter has agreed with activities in the area of digital currencies. Therefore, the foundation is laid for cooperation in this field. as the representative of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, I announce that our goal is to guarantee the success of those entering this field and conclude contracts in this field.

He recommended that the process should be initiated on domestic currency of the country, adding: in this regard, the viewpoint of government to the field of information technology must be officially recognized in order to have an early entrance to this area with a global view since activities have been formed in this platform in most of the companies with about nine hundred currencies created for sale and purchase.

Daliri mentioned that at least one Iranian product must be created in the area of digital currency. In this regard, he continued: given the new nature of digital currencies in the country, there is still no specific law in this area. Therefore, it is a good opportunity for the private sector to entrance this field since lack of request and demand in this field will not result in support by the government.

According to this report, the specialized meeting of “crypto currencies” was held in permanent exhibition of Tehran with the presidency of Alireza Daliri, and in presence of Khosrow Saljoughi, member of the board of the information technology organization of Iran, and Ali Mizani Oskouei, CEO of CITEX.
