Chairman of Iran national space administration announced the earning of the fifth rank in the area of satellite technologies by Iran.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, pointed out the assessment of the current space condition of Iran in the region, stating: to better understand the condition of Iran among the regional countries, we have aimed to benchmark in various areas.
He added: according to this process, Iran has been ranked fifth in the region in terms of space technologies. However, extensive efforts must be dedicated to this area to improve the ranking of Iran.
According to Manteghi, the set of knowledge and technologies related to the evaluation of the space around the earth is regarded as space technology, which includes the recognition of the surrounding environment, missiles, satellite, sending humans into space, shuttle, and space stations.
In addition, he asserted: however, the areas of space navigations, system optimization, smaller, lighter and more efficient subsystems, newer space engines, new energies in space, space wastes (orbital waste) and space tourism are among the new areas that require attention as well.
