Development of the Shiraz Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine requires the collaboration of knowledge-based companies.

According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Amir Ali Hamidieh, the President of the Stem Cells Sciences and Technologies Development Headquarter of the Vice Presidency for Science Affairs, visited the Shiraz Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and recommended logo design for this institute. He marked: “requests for establishing this type of institutes has increased in various provinces after determining the three poles (north, south and center) of the country. Therefore, cooperation of knowledge-based companies could significantly contribute to this area.” Hamidieh proposed the production of an isolator by the knowledge-based companies in Shiraz and added: “achieving this technology in Iran is extremely valuable.”

According to the President of the Stem Cells Sciences and Technologies Development Headquarter of the Vice Presidency for Science Affairs, the presence of an active team of students in this field is one of the positive advantages of Shiraz. He declared: “special attention must be paid to the establishment of student research centers all over the country. In this regard, this type of research center will be established in Farsi province.”

Hamidieh marked the high values of cooperation between high school and university students in order to improve knowledge about stem cell and regenerative medicine.

 

According to this report, Hamidieh and Imanieh, the President of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, visited the Shiraz Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine and assessed the overall progress of this project.
