According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, at the inauguration of the second Iran 3D Show event, Ismael Ghaderifar, head of the strategic technologies development center of the vice presidency for science affairs considered holding this festival a step toward developing additive manufacturing technology and declared: The additive manufacturing field is one of the industrial revolution’s element in the third millennium which world researchers are developing and commercializing this field quickly. However, science generation in Iran is in acceptable level regarding the potential and existing capabilities of scientific centers. But the important note here is that product manufacturing should be connected to the technology cycle and commercialization should be applied in different industrial fields.

Ghaderifar carried on: Moreover, due to right approaches and orientations taken especially over recent years for supporting knowledge-based companies, a new generation of technology-oriented start-ups has been emerged in the country.

According to him, the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs provides the playing ground for youth through developing the technology ecosystem in the country to apply researching and studying market-based activities as a massive market waits these fields. There is an 80-million people market within the country and a 600-million people market in the region for the youth’s innovation and technology.

The second comprehensive event of Iran Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) will be held December 14th-16th at Tehran Book’s Garden. 25 knowledge-based companies and universities will provide their achievements in total. Moreover, more than 35 academic student, school student and teachers’ group will compete in the contest part. Furthermore, 8 keynotes and 29 articles will be presented at the conference part so that the latest achievements and researches on this field can be observed.
