According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, by signing a cooperation memorandum between the vice presidency for science and technology affairs and the secretariat of the supreme council of industry-trade and especially economy free zones by Dr. Soorena Sattari and Dr. Ali Akbar Torkan, the base of using the capacities and capabilities of these zones by domestic and foreign technologist units and institutes and knowledge-based companies, for developing the knowledge-based was facilitated.
Based on this memorandum, innovation centers will be established in trade free zones for hospitality of colleague domestic and foreign knowledge-based companies and also the base of profitability of facilities, services and infrastructures of trade free zones will be provided for technologist and knowledge-based companies and institutes.
Preparing an innovative and pioneer infrastructure in each zone, regarding its technological priorities and missions, producing and propagating scientific, technological and cultural media content proportional to the country’s need, making the culture of transferring and localizing technologies needed by the country are the content of the aforementioned memorandum.
Based on this cooperation memorandum, creating and reinforcing relations among international universities, attracting the cooperation of valid design, engineering and technology centers of the world for carrying out joint projects and holding educating courses, creating the possibility of settlement of foreign researching centers and groups in free zones are other attempts that will be realized by signing this memorandum.
Based on this memorandum, the joint committee with presence of Mahdi Bazargan and Mahmoud Ahmadi on the behalf of the secretariat of the free zones, Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinodin deputy of innovation and technology commercialization and Parviz Karami consultant of the presidency vice president for science and technology affairs and president of the knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter of the vice presidency for science affairs on the behalf of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs will pursue the quantitative and qualitative aims and proper operation of this memorandum’s content. This memorandum was signed by Dr. Torkan and Dr. Sattari and was announced to free zones and the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs.
