According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs, attended the third planning and development meeting of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, along with the governor of this province, head of national elites foundation and president of Technology park of Sistan and Baluchestan province. In this meeting, Sattari introduced the structural and fundamental changes in technological provincial plans as one of the necessities for eliminating the challenges in this regard, expressing: the project of pure water was a significantly important issue, which has been neglected for many years. Today, this problem is being followed up in a special situation with the cooperation of governorate and the private sector.
He also pointed out: the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs can perform some acts and provide infrastructural supports for innovative and creative methods in solving provincial problems. These types of projects require fundamental changes in the attitude and insight toward benefiting from creative and bold techniques.
Sattari stated that technological development must be according to intrinsic capacities and relative territory advantages, affirming: comprehensive provincial projects, which are carried out to solve the problems of each province, will come to fruition by considering the capacities and abilities of each province and relying on their most important resource, which is human beings.
Head of Iran national science foundations mentioned that the current economic need of our country is innovative youth with high self-confidence, who will not stop until reaching their goal. He continued: today, presence of educated youth with courage, self-confidence and determination is the most important need of our source-based economic. It could be stated that this valuable source is the only tool that can change the current economic situation of Iran.
Sattari believes that we have had acceptable growth in the majority of technological fields. In this regard, we observed that Iran was ranked fifth in the world in the field of nanotechnology. There is no doubt that increased number of articles and technology production in this area will lead to the ranking of Iran as the fourth country in the world with the most achievements in nanotechnology field. In addition, we have had many achievements in other technology fields, such as biotechnology and stem cells.
The vice president for science and technology emphasized: now, Iranian technology companies can take the economic enhancement steps by relying on their own innovation and creativity. It has been observed among young managers of these companies (less than 30 years old), who have been able to earn millions of dollars.
He also said: this trend in the world resulted in the replacement of large oil and industrial companies by companies, assets of which are idea, creativity, and knowledge with benefiting from considerable physical infrastructures.
Sattari asserted: if we pave the way for formation of a suitable business environment by eliminating the barriers and changing the thinking pattern of the society, we will be able to succeed in creating a knowledge-based economy. The association for support of knowledge-based companies has been established to create a unique space for free activities of knowledge-based companies, showing that they will be able to make economic transformation on a wider spectrum based on an accurate perception.
President of Iran national science foundation also stated: without a doubt, 110 thousand students in Sistan and Baluchestan Province is considered as an extraordinary potential for entrepreneurship and solving fundamental problems of the province. With full comprehension of this capacity and other advantages of the province, we are ready to fully support the trend of moving toward knowledge-based economy in this region of the country.
Sattari continued: there is a great market for soft and identity-making technology and service technology companies, flourish of which can be obtained through transition from the domination of the oil economy and returning to the traditions and territory advantages, which have introduced Iran as an innovative and entrepreneurial country many years.
President of Iran national science foundation marked: there is a valuable database on the capacity of educated academics, professors and top talented individuals in each province, in a way that there are five thousand people on the list of national science foundation, who can provide the path of capacity development.
Sattari expressed: strategic technologies laboratory network has created the infrastructure for sharing more than 8500 laboratory equipment, which not only prevents spending recurring costs to buy laboratory equipment, but it also facilitates the access these tools by researchers and elites.
During this meeting, provincial authorities of Sistan and Baluchestan Province talked about the challenges, achievements and enhancements of the province in the fields of technology, health and environment.
In This travel, Sattari was accompanied by Ali Osat Hashemi, governor of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, Alireza Daliri, head of deputy for management development and resources, Parviz Karami, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs and secretary of knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter, Hossein Ali Bahrami, secretary of the headquarter of water resources development, drought, erosion and environment technologies, and a number of authorities and managers of Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
