Creation of an academic satellite consortium

Chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration announced the establishment of an academic consortium and construction of three standard satellites in the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space and advanced transportation administration, expressed about the macro policies of the space area, expressing: in the area of coordination for development of aerial industry in the country, Iranbas Platform of 15, 70 and 150 people, the study of the integration of the ground station and the study of the integration of the AIT laboratory has been prepared.

He added: in this regard, a consortium has been established between the universities of the country for design and construction of three standard satellites.

According to Manteghi, creating the foundation for international cooperation is carried out with the goal of having access to aerial technologies with the help of effective presence in COPUOS and designing programs using the space.

He continued: the national space administration has been established with the goals of developing the aerial technology and its applications in the country, improving the national authority, production of wealth and increase of quality of people’s life through increasing the technological aerial abilities and their use and improvement of the relationship between science and industry in the field of space technology and in line with the realization of these goals and various other activities.
