Chairman of Iran national space administration announced the formation of an academic consortium for design and manufacturing of three standard satellites in the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, stated about macro policymaking in the space field: in the field of coordination for the development of the country"s space industry, the Iran-Bass platform of 150, 70 and 15, a study on the integration of the ground station and the study of the integration of the AIT laboratory are prepared.

He added that a consortium has also been established among universities of the country for design and manufacturing of three standard satellites.

According to Manteghi, creation of international cooperation fields is on the agenda of the administration to achieve spatial technologies with the help of effective presence in COPUOS and design of programs to use the space.

He also expressed: the national space administration of Iran has been established to develop the space technology and its applications in Iran, improve national authority, create wealth and increase the quality of life of people through increasing the abilities in the area of aviation and improving the association between knowledge and industry in this regard. It should be noted that various activities have been performed to realize these goals.
