Booming of the innovation ecosystem of Shahrekord is accelerated

Along with the Fajr Decade, Shahrekord hosted the vice president for science and technology affairs. In a meeting with technology and economic activists of the city, Sattari mentioned the infrastructural support for accelerating the booming of innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Shahrekord.

Sattari emphasized the increased potential of innovation in the economy ecosystem and more tendency to human resources, mentioning that underground sources of the country are not a good solution for proper welfare. Entrepreneurship must improve in the country and we must change our view to human assets, valuating individuals based on their innovative capabilities.

The president of the national elites foundation emphasized the necessity of laying the foundation to use the capacities of top talents and young graduates in the province, adding: some graduates have returned to their city and have established such ecosystem. Therefore, the return of elites is an important step toward improvement.

The vice president for science and technology affairs talked about the spiritual and infrastructural support to develop the foundation for activity of knowledge-based companies and startups in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province, adding: fortunately, this ecosystem is shaping up in the province. Although there is a long way to go, this move has started.

Pointing out that the Vice-Presidency is prepared to pay the costs of reconstruction of equipping and development if the province is eager to provide a space for the innovation ecosystem, Sattari continued: today, an agreement is made to finish the half-finished building of the science and technology park of the province in a specific duration to turn it into a place for innovative ideas and businesses.

Need-based Research Is the Result of Entrepreneurship of the Private Sector

The president of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter considered the effectiveness of research to be need-driven, which can be achieved through the role of the private sector. In this regard, he expressed: government research similar to state-owned factory and industry will not produce efficient results through reliance on government capital. A research invested by the private sector leads to product, and the product is the result of private equity investment in research. The product of government research is not competitive and will not belong to the people.

“If the private sector aims to invest on the youth, research will lead to product. This issue needs a cultural ecosystem to persuade the private sector investor to focus on knowledge-based companies and startups.”

In this regard, Sattari added: the valuable result of booming the ecosystem is more than 4800 knowledge-based companies with a revenue generation of 90,000 billion Tomans.

According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, the effect of universities and their output, meaning graduated human resources, is evident in solving problems and creating added value on the foundation of such an ecosystem.

The Efforts of the Vice-Presidency Are Effective and Valuable

Hojatoleslam Nekoonam, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province and the Friday Imam of Shahrekord, met with the vice president for science and technology affairs and appreciated the valuable efforts made for establishing knowledge-based economy. In this context, he mentioned: the Vice-Presidency has followed its great mission to develop the knowledge-based economy, production, technology and creativity in the society.

Ecosystem Improvement

During the meeting with the representative of the Supreme Leader in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province and the Friday Imam of Shahrekord, Sattari presented a full report of achievements of the Vice-Presidency in the development of the knowledge-based economy ecosystem, adding: realizing the importance of human resources is the basis of knowledge-based economy, and innovation, knowledge and trusting young creative people will make our economy “knowledge-based”.

Knowledge-based economy is the field for role-playing of the youth, who capital is not in their pockets but in their brain.

The vice president for science and technology affairs also talked about the importance of increased role of universities in solving society problems.
