A cooperation agreement was signed between the biotechnology development headquarter and Shahid Rajaei University with the goal of laying the groundwork for development of student biotechnology.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the biotechnology development headquarter signed an agreement with Shahid Rajaei University in line with the realization of national ideals of the biotechnology document in using this type of technology and goals of the macro document for fundamental evolution of education with the topic of improvement of the educational planning system in the country. This cooperation is made in the hope of promotion of biotechnology.

The agreement was signed on the topic of planning for optimal use of scientific and legal abilities of the headquarter and scientific and educational capabilities of the university to achieve cooperation for introducing and promoting biotechnology concepts and applications as a key technology to achieve sustainable development in the society, especially among school and university students and teachers, and joint cooperation to improve educational and research activities in the area of biotechnology.

In addition, realization of mainstreaming and planning to develop creativity-oriented educational approaches in the area of biotechnology, providing the foundation for flourishing of students and teachers’ talents in the biotechnology area and laying the groundwork for guiding them in creating jobs, encouraging teachers to perform research activities, providing the foundation for familiarization of students, professors, authorities and industry owners with biotechnology priorities, guiding research achievements in the area of biotechnology to eliminate the needs and problems of the country, and helping the commercialization of bio-sciences through providing specialized and subspecialized educations are among the other topics of the agreement.

Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, stated on the ceremony: the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has been established to solve the problem of connecting universities to industries, containing various technology development headquarter. The biotechnology development headquarter is one of these headquarters.

Ghanei emphasized the increasing importance of biotechnology at the global level, expressing: the biotechnology development headquarter has one economic mission, which is realization of three percent of the global market by 2026.

He also asserted: this year, this festival will be held to transfer biotechnology work balance from university to school.

He continued: most of our children that are recruited by other countries are active in this field. biotechnology is not just a biotechnological field and almost involves most of the engineering, medical and basic science fields.

Ghanei regarded the division of national work and attention to regional capacities as the most important strategies necessary for realization of the goals of the national programs.
