Benefit of the Country Depends on Lack of Export of Valuable Metals in Electronic Wastes
Researcher in the area of nuclear geology and soil engineering stated: the valuable metals existing in electronic wastes can be re-used in various industries of the country.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Reza Espahbod, researcher in the area of nuclear geology and soil engineering, expressed: electronic wastes include metals, export of which must be prevented since these metals are accompanied by valuable components that must be used in our own country.
He continued: the valuable metals existing in the wastes of various industries can be re-used. However, when we talk about nickel and cobalt, we do not mean valuable metals but we mean that they are accompanied by valuable metals in the nature and there might even be uranium.
Uranium energy conservation and environment consultant of the energy technologies development headquarter also asserted: in addition, operation of leachate and waste from industrial factories is of paramount importance. In fact, we must identify the ingredients of these wastes and use them to our benefits.
