Bank of actual bio challenges of the country is created

The use of biotechnology has extensively developed in the past few years, in a way that it has affected areas such as economy, health, treatment, environment, agriculture, industry, food, and other aspects of life.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, biotechnology is an interdisciplinary field, according to the activity of which, it might overlap with areas such as chemistry engineering, medicine, agriculture, microbiology, and nanotechnology. In addition, biotechnology can be used in areas of agriculture, nutrition and environment as genetic modification of plant species with the aim of producing higher quality products, production of probiotic products and biological purification mechanisms.

These days, biotechnology is recognized as a wealth-creating science that has transformed the economy of countries. This is a value-generating science with least environmental complications. The biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to introduce this global and useful science to students with a motivation-focused event, thereby playing the role of an educational guide in this regard.

In fact, the “Rahzist” event is started from a different point. There is no need for having a special expertise or idea to enter this course. The only condition for entering the competition or event is having an interest in this field.
In this event, it is aimed to present the actual problems of the country in the field of biotechnology so that enthusiasts of the field could find their interest and talent. The biology and engineering students can participate in the event and find their future path.

The first round of “Rahzist” was held by the biotechnology technologies development headquarter with the goal of guiding students of fields related to biotechnology and familiarizing them with challenges of the country in this field.

This event is a four-month competition designed based on a combined program of workshops to solve challenges by students and has a sense of actual industrial problems. The call for the event was announced in February, and a total of 550 individuals from across the country registered for the event.
