According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, use of clean technologies is being developed in rural area to adhere to the regulations on the sustainable development of water and energy. Generally, water and energy supply in each region requires a specific solution based on local characteristics of that area. Therefore, a single method cannot be recommended to all regions. However, a similar approach can be used in all areas. In this regard, provision of a development program for use of new and clean technologies with the goal of water and energy supply and sustainable development of rural areas of the country have been carried out by the energy technologies development headquarter. In this project, development of renewable energies in villages is considered with a sustainable development approach with the cooperation of energy technologies development headquarter.

In addition, development of the market for knowledge-based products, producing jobs for rural and deprived areas and supplying energy (electricity and heat) and water for these areas are among the achievements of this project. Compilation of this project is being carried out with the cooperation of some knowledge-based companies.
