The minister of agriculture expressed on the fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products and Iranian medicine (Iranian): the added value of the medical plants field has moved from selling raw materials toward products that are used for the welfare and health of people.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahmoud Hojati, the minister of agriculture of the country, expressed on the opening ceremony of the evet: we extend our gratitude to the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs for teaching us “how to achieve something”. The fact that we pay especial attention to other issues and we can apply our abilities to our programs and works is learned from this headquarter.

He continued: our country has always had great capacities as pointed out by the authorities in various situations. However, we must realize that we “can” properly implement them. This is manifested in the ever-increasing success of the festival of medical plants, natural products and Iranian medicine.

The minister of agriculture emphasized the area of medical plants, asserting: the aim and purpose of the agricultural production chain is to make more and more of the added value associated with the raw products of medicinal plants. The capacity for creation of the medicinal herbs put by God Almighty is the answer to many of our problems.

He also mentioned that to date, we have been dealing with selling raw materials in this field, adding: today, added value of products produced in farms have moved towards the welfare and health of people, which is the sign of positive growth in this area.

The fourth national festival and exhibition of medical plants, natural products and Iranian medicine (traditional) will be held November 11^th-14^th 2018 in Musala of Tehran by the efforts of the medicinal plants and traditional medicine sciences and technologies development headquarter.
