Active Presence of Iranian knowledge-based Companies in International Exhibition of MAKS2017 in Russia
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, MAKS2017 exhibition was initiated on July 18th 2017. This year, 770 companies participated from 32 countries, 10 of which had national booths in the exhibition. In total, the exhibition lasted six days, and the first three days were allocated to visit of experts, the fourth day was semi-professional and the last two days, the exhibition was open to the public.
This exhibition is a unique opportunity for those involved in aerial and aviation industries to learn about key problems in development, production and sell of aerial transportation equipment and weapons.
Corridor of export development and technology exchange held the Iranian pavilion in this exhibition by presenting 12 knowledge-based companies in the field of aerospace with the help of Iran national space administration according to supportive guidelines and in order develop export and empower knowledge-based companies. This corridor financially supported the participating companies through paying 70% of their expenses, including renting and creating a booth and transporting the equipment of the companies.
Pavilion of Iran had an area of 100 m2 in D3 hall of the exhibition in front of the entrance door, in which 12 knowledge-based companies presented their products in a suitable environment for participants.
Mahdi Sanari, ambassador of Iran in Russia, also visited the exhibition and mentioned significant advancements observed in aerial industry of Iran. He reminded the interest of Iran in cooperating with Russian federation in this field, expressing his hope for extended cooperation between the two countries.
One of the most important effects of participation of Iranian companies in this exhibition was that the companies in Iranian pavilion were able to appropriately contact with companies from Russia and other countries, and some of them were even able to conclude contracts with other companies.
Simorgh Gohar Amirkabir Engineering Co. (SIGMA) was able to conclude two contracts with Russian companies, one of which was in the field of technical and engineering services interactions (in the area of software engineering and engineering analysis). Another agreement was made with a Russian company to produce a joint UAV product and have joint cooperation in its marketing and selling. Supplying and designing of this contract will be carried out by Russia, whereas production of the platform will be the responsibility of SIGMA Co.
It is noteworthy that Vladimir Putin, president of Russia, mentioned on the opening ceremony of the exhibition: what encourage people is that experts, businessmen and foreigners work accorfding to the framework of the exhibition to analyze the current processes in the field of aerial transportation, representing their ideas about further investigations. Presented joint projects and concluded contracts of this event will confirm the importance of cooperation Russia with foreign companies.
