The scientific secretary of “symposium on use of stem cells and regenerative medicine in neonatal period” regarded the objective of the event to be evaluating the practical approaches in implementation, presenting new services in this field, and designing and performing applied research to provide services to relevant groups.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Malihe Kadivar, the scientific secretary of “symposium on use of stem cells and regenerative medicine in neonatal period”, pointed out the importance of holding this symposium and its interdisciplinary nature, expressing: the event has several dimensions, including rebuilding stem cells and regenerative medicine in different neonatal dimensions, paying attention to resources of stem cell and the principles of applying stem cells in neonatal nervous system diseases.

According to Kadivar, retinopathy of preterm infants, neonatal chronic pulmonary diseases, neonatal blood disorders, neonatal inherited immunological problems, neonatal abnormalities leading to surgery, neonatal heart problems and abnormalities, neonatal inherited skin problems, use of breast milk, placenta and the ethical and legal principles for the use of stem cells and medical rehabilitation in other newborns are some of the other areas of the symposium.

Kavidar considered this symposium a way to be familiarized with the use of stem cells and regenerative medicine in neonatal diseases, asserting: examining the practical approaches to implementation, providing new services in this area, as well as designing and conducting applied research for service to the relevant groups is another purpose pursued by the event.

The scientific secretary of “symposium on use of stem cells and regenerative medicine in neonatal period also affirmed: the symposium will be held in Children’s Medical Center (scientific pole of infants of the country) in March 2019 with the cooperation of stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter. Therefore, considering the importance of holding the event, other centers and associations related to this field are invited to help hold the event.
