According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, along with the opening ceremony of the sixth international exhibition of railroad transportation, the national 1300hp diesel engine was unveiled in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, minister of road and urban construction, minister of industry, mine and trade, and ministry of defense.

During the unveiling ceremony, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, pointed out the efforts dedicated to this construction by all activists in the engine industry of the country, stating: without a doubt, the science and technology society of the country will be content with the inauguration of the production line for the first national heavy diesel engine and its pieces.

He continued: a new generation of engines will be observed in the country following the inauguration of this production line.

According to Sattari, production of this engine has been started with a megawatt power and it is hoped that it reaches five-six megawatt powers in the future.

He appreciated the support provided by the ministry of road and urban construction, affirming: pre-order of the engines by the ministry of road and urban construction has generated a significant percentage of the market for this product, and we hope that these supports lead to the development of domestic production of heavy engines.

The heavy national diesel engine with internal parts is widely used in the fields of railroad, power plants and marine. The construction of this national engine was in the hand of the youth of the country since 2014. Without a doubt, construction of this engine is one of the main indicators of industrial independence of the country.

After the unveiling ceremony, the marine military forces announced the purchase of one of the engines. It is predicted that the company is able to produce 50 engines in the current year.
