The 48^th Roshd international film festival is being held so that in the 40^th anniversary of the Islamic revolution of Iran, we would watch cinematic works in the area of student education.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Cinema has been able to have educational and scientific impacts as the seventh and most popular art in the past 100 years. In this regard, the ministry of education will hold the 48^th Roshd international film festival with the support of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter. The audience of this event are students, teachers and activists of the field of education.

According to this report, more than four thousand foreign movies were applicants of the 48^th Roshd international film festival. Eventually, 48 animations, 18 documentaries, and 35 movies were selected for the international competition of the festival. These movies come from 28 countries from five continents. In addition, from 740 Iranian movies that are applicants of the event, 110 films were selected for the international section.

Therefore, holding this event concomitantly with the 40^th anniversary of Islamic revolution shows our ability to show the talents and creativity of human resources of this country.

The festival is held November 16^th-23^rd, 2018 by the ministry of education research and planning organization. The Shahid Motahari Association in district 15, Felestin Cinema, and Mo’alem Hall in district 19 are some of the centers for holding the festival.
