The status of International Student Emigration in Iran” is the title of the first volume of a book published by the efforts of a group of experts at Iran Migration Observatory. Published in three volumes, the book provides accurate information about the emigration of Iranian elites and graduates to prevent the spread of inaccurate data in this area.

Innovative and creative manpower is a valuable and valuable treasure for developing countries. Therefore, the emigration and international displacement of students and talents is a sensitive issue for any country, including Iran. However, this area suffers from a lack of reliable annual statistical statistics and serious research for effective policy and planning.

In this situations, a group of experts at Iran Migration Observatory aimed to publish a report of effective steps taken to stabilize the status of Iran in the global indexes related to the international displacement of students and talents with the help of some valid indexes that could be internationally compared, such as indicators of the potential flow of migration and the global index of talent competitiveness.

Presenting biased reports is one of the harms of this field, which depicts the real migration rate of human resources from our country with unrealistic ones. As such, this book has been compiled with this in mind.

The first volume covers topics such as the situation of Iran in the indicators of the potential flow of migration, the distribution of countries in the two indicators of the potential flow of migration and talent acquisition, a look at the general statistics of Iranian student migration, important goals of Iranian international students and program coverage in foreign media.

In the first volume of this book, some statistics related to international transfers such as the number of Iranian students abroad and the process of presence of Iranian international students in the first 10 immigration destinations of this group through international sources are examined. This book provides statistics and information with detailed tables and pictures, which show a clear picture of migration.

The Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and the national elites foundation have supported the provision of accurate statistics in this field to present a clear image of the reality of emigration of elites to other countries and attraction of non-resident elites.
