A Cooperation Agreement is Signed with the Oil Industry Research Center

 

The Iranian national science foundation has signed a cooperation agreement with the oil industry research center on the implementation of research in this area of science, as well as performing research and post-doctoral projects and international patent registration with a faster pace.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Nosratollah Zargham, head of the administration, reminded the history of activities, goals and expansiveness of the umbrella of support of the foundation during the meeting with Jafar Tofighi, head of the oil industry research center, expressing: the foundation has helped the development and empowering of infrastructures of science, technology and innovation in the country, as well as the work of researchers, technologists and innovators, promoting transformational research to witness the flourishing of research affairs in line with the production of science and technology and commercialization and use of results through financial and spiritual supports of the foundation.

In another part of his speech, Zargham pointed out the holding of meetings in the Asian and Oceania region of the global research council, which will be held in Iran November 21st 2018 for the first, hosted by the Iranian national science foundation. In this regard, he asserted: in these meetings, the research institutes and foundations of countries such as Australia, Austria, Argentina, South Africa, Germany, Indonesia, England, Brazil, South Korea, Pakistan, Thailand, and China will be present.

In the end of the meeting, a joint agreement was signed to cooperate in the field of implementation of research in oil industry, including research, post-doctoral and PhD projects, international patent registration in the oil research area and support of holding national and international educational workshops in the country. In addition, a question/answer session was held to learn about the capacities of the foundation.
