Turkey is the gate for export of Iranian knowledge-based products

 

Pointing out that Turkey is the gate of export of Iranian companies, the vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the necessity of strengthening the cooperation between Iran and Turkey in the field of knowledge-based companies, emphasizing the necessity of promoting innovation ecosystem with the cooperation of both countries.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, talked about the ability of Iran to make a revolution in its economy with the help of knowledge-based companies in the conference of technological and knowledge-based companies of Turkey and Iran in Istanbul, stating: US sanctions could destroy a country, but Iran stood on its own.

Referring to Iran"s scientific breakthrough in various fields of technology, he noted that Iran is ready to develop infrastructures and serious cooperation to transfer technologies in the form of knowledge-based companies to Turkey.

The vice president for science and technology affairs asserted the formation of a new generation of creative and entrepreneurial youth in Iran who know the international laws and can be good partner for Turkish companies.

Sattari affirmed: Turkey is the gate for export of Iranian companies. Our interactions with this country in the past year have indicated a high political level. However, the field of economic relations must reach the desired level and it is far from achieving the $30 billion trade volume target.

During the meeting that hosted 80 Iranian companies and 200 Turkish companies, Sattari marked: sanctions against Iran have increased the production of indigenous technologies. About 200 Iranian companies were ready to attend the conference, but for some reason only 80 companies attended the event.

Emphasizing the necessity of promoting the economic relations of the two countries, he added: we have great political ties. The level of our economic relations must also reach the political level.

During the event that was held by the international affairs & technological exchange center, the vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned that the government is responsible for creating a communication bridge between various parts of the two countries. In this respect, he continued: both the Turkey and Iran sides are completely supported in this field.

Mohammad Farazmand, the ambassador of Iran in Turkey, pointed out the meetings between Iranian and Turkish authorities in Ankara in these meetings as the start of a new round of relations between the two countries, asserting: in the last three decades, we have held 27 meetings of the Joint Committees of Iran and Turkey. The meetings were held on a regular basis and the last commission meeting was held in September 2019 in Ankara. The Health and Drug Administration added to the Commission"s activities at this latest meeting. The two countries" joint commissions are among the most active in the region and in the world. Twenty-eighth Joint Commission in Tehran will have a fruitful year in relations between the two countries.

The Capacity of Iranian Knowledge-based Companies to Lay the Foundation to Interact with Turkey

Mahdi Ghalenoei, the head of the international affairs & technological exchange center, emphasized the importance of holding such events, affirming: we have five thousand knowledge-based and technological companies in Iran. Today, about 80 companies are active in four fields of health, information technology and communication, electronics, machinery and advanced materials.

Pointing out the holding of several festivals in Iran this year, he explained: we are ready to host Turkish delegations in Iranian programs and we can cover some of these costs. We would like these meetings to be specialized. First of all, we consider health. The representatives of about eighty Iranian companies in the fields of ICT, engineering, health and machinery have come together for a three-day conference with representatives of Turkish companies in the field.

Sattari added: huge phenomena have occurred in the knowledge-based economy of Iran in the past few years. The creation of large technology companies with the production of science and technology related to IT, biotechnology, nanotechnology and medicine is a result of the development of knowledge-based economy in Iran.
