The number of Iranian students in recent years (for example in 2016-2017) has always been around 50,000, albeit with slight fluctuations, but these fluctuations are not at all consistent with untrue claims.

According to official statistics, the lowest student enrollment rate in Iran in 2001 and 2002 was 17,000 and 18,000, respectively, around the world.
