According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the international Quran exhibition of this year was extremely welcomed by the people. However, there was a difference between this round of the exhibition and previous rounds. This year, it seems that the exhibition was held with more use of technologies, and students and members of seminary competed in a technological event in the field of Quranic digital content production.

Previously, other similar competitions in the field of digital content production have been held with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and students. However, this event is significantly different due to the focus on Quran and Religious lifestyle.

According to Karami, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, this marathon in the field of Quranic digital content production was started on June 8^th 2017 at the international Quran Exhibition with the attendance of 30 teams, consisting of academics and members of seminary, to cover the topics of Quran and lifestyle, Quran and Islamic principles, Quran and entrepreneurship and fair trade, Quran and Islamic art. This event was finished on June 9^th 2017.

An Opportunity for Learning and Experiencing in the Field of Quranic Digital Content

According to Karami, the major goal of this event was finding talented people, educating them and build their culture to be entered into the field of digital business in the area of Quran.

Secretary of knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter pointed out the necessity of preparing the society for a collective move toward knowledge-based economy based on the abilities of educated young human resources, expressing: support of new businesses and entrepreneurial events is one of the measures taken by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs to build culture in order to be entered into this area of business. As a result, the knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter has aimed to pay more attention to this matter through cooperating with center for the development of digital media of the ministry of culture and Islamic guidance and knowledge-based company of “Abrezendegi”.

Advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned that the participating teams of the event must present their documents and achievements to the judging panel, asserting: after this phase, teams will be scores based on their documents, and the selected eight teams will be established in growth centers and accelerators to guide and form technological businesses. In addition, three top teams of the event will receive financial facilities and supports.

Karami pointed out the €35thousand billion market for digital content production, expressing: given the fact that the population of our country is about one percent of world’s population, we have to earn our share from digital content production market, which will be around $38 million. Meanwhile, current earning from this market has been reported to be $9 million, and another $29 million must be earned.

According to Karami, the capacity of digital content production market has doubled the importance of human resources and objective share of necessity of increased efforts in this regard, stating: digital content production in today’s competitive market is recognized as one of the valuable capacities and facilities for job and income creation.

Creation of Foundations for Halal Digital Content Production

Secretary of knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter expressed that entering the market of Quranic digital content production will have benefits for us both in this world and in afterlife, affirming: release and publish of culture of religious and Quranic issues will lead to a second award in afterlife, business and income creation through halal content production for Iran and earning of more than several millions for Muslims, which can promote Islamic culture among other countries.

According to this report, the first event of Quranic digital content production was held at Imam Khomeyni Musalla with the support of knowledge-based science, technology and economy culture development headquarter of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology Affairs, attended by more than 30 teams, which were mostly from Tehran and near cities due to Ramadan. In addition, top teams were selected at the end of the event to be active in Quranic growth centers.
