The meeting of flourishing of production and knowledge-based economy of Hormozgan province was held in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs.

During the meeting, Sattari considered the endogenous development based on territorial potentials and human resources a top priority of the Vice-Presidency, stating: the creative and talented youth are the basis of knowledge-based economy. Hormozgan province has good capacities in the field, and in terms of land, especially in the maritime field.

The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the sea a large source for wealth production, adding: knowledge-based economy in Hormozgan must have sea-based direction, so that we could be active in all areas related to this area.

The president of the national elites foundation also marked: there has been a considerable growth in the number of knowledge-based companies of Hormozgan in the past few years. Technological companies can present suitable plans to develop business and occupation in Hormozgan using their good ideas.

Sattari regarded the presence of a large industries, mines and extensive abilities in the marine-related economy and tourism a factor for turning the province into the pole of economy and production in the country, mentioning that these capabilities are an advantage for extensive participation of scientific centers, universities and knowledge-based companies.

The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the support of the field by the Vice-Presidency, continuing: Hormuz Technology Tower in Bandar Abbas has been established with the proper considerations of the unit to lay the proper foundation for development of scientific and technological activities. This center has provided great facilities for knowledge-based companies and activists of the field in Hormozgan.

Mentioning that knowledge-based companies can create a great development in the economy, production, and occupations in the country, Sattari marked: an important capacity in Hormozgan is its maritime industries. Some of the needs of the field include supplying the related equipment and pieces, where knowledge-based companies can enter with their products so that the province could be turned into the center for construction and production of maritime equipment with the help of its knowledge-based companies.
