A historical city in the middle of the country, Isfahan welcomed Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs. In his previous trips to the province, Sattari’s activities led to the flourishing of technological activities by opening innovation and technology centers. Today, he visited this region one more time, which led to a leap in the activities of the activists in the innovation and technology ecosystem.
Sattari was welcomed by the governor when entering the province.
The first part of the travel included visiting the technological products of researchers in the Islamic Azad University, Khorasgan Branch. In addition, he visited the project of “production of genetically valuable animals through cloning”, which is an important plan to staunch the foreign currency drain and increase the production of animals with higher productivity.
Visiting the Digital Health Innovation Center
In addition, Sattari visited the health innovation center, which has given place to 14 technological teams that have produced innovative products in digital health field. Products are created in various fields from applications and games to providing health services in the mobile and Internet platform.
In addition, the “bio system of Iran” was unveiled in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, which will provide services to all researchers of the country. This system provides services in the field of data analysis and biomedical data processing. These services are provided online (on the web). Startups and collections active in the field of digital health need this infrastructure to develop their activities.
Starting the Construction and Improvement of Isfahan Innovation Factory
In addition, the construction and improvement of the Innovation Factory of Isfahan will be started in one of the main streets of the city. A worn-out building in the 1960s, which is set to become a place to nurture the ideas of Isfahan technology and innovation activists. The factory has an area of 11 thousand square meters and gives space to startups and technological companies in areas of aerospace, transportation and electric vehicles. In addition, several accelerators will be established in the factory.
Reconstructing warehouses and turning them into innovation factories will be carried out with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
Concluding a contract for the construction of a "medical equipment park"
The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the research and science town to learn about the knowledge-based and technological products presented in the exhibition and the measures taken to expand scientific activities.
Overall, 540 knowledge-based companies and startups are established in the town. In addition, 10 growth and innovation centers and three science and technology parks extend efforts to develop the production of technological products as the sub-organizations of the town. The trip of Sattari to Isfahan led to the presenting of 15 technological products of knowledge-based companies based in the town.
After visiting the achievements of the research and science town, a contract was signed to establish “the medical equipment park” in the mentioned town with an area of 23 hectares, which is the first private park in the field of science and technology. Its infrastructure, such as roads, water, electricity and access, are all built by the private sector.
Moreover, the second phase of the workshop was exploited in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs. In total, 30 companies are based in the center, which are active in various fields such as lasers and optics, biotechnology and advanced pumps and equipment.
