The vice president for science and technology affairs stated: universities’ direction is rapidly changing to technology and entrepreneurial universities. these days, not only establishing a technological business by a student or faculty member is not bad but is an honorable act. Meanwhile, no such attitude existed in the past few years.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, presented a speech in the council meeting of economy of resistance in the presence of local authorities, academics and activists of the province in his one-day travel to North Khorasan Province.

Sattari explained the importance of universities in booming of the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship, adding: universities are an important and inseparable part of the innovation ecosystem, and the moving of the creative and young human resources toward the path of entrepreneurship is possible with the decisive role of universities.

We Are Responsible

The president of the national elites foundation considered a responsibility for the universities and the society toward the young and creative society members, asserting: universities must hold accountable toward the occupation and future of the youth who have spent their best years of life in universities. A student who has been educated by spending a cost and support of the community must be guided in a way that he/she could take a burden off the shoulder of the society.

Transformation in Attitudes

The vice president for science and technology affairs emphasized the moving of the North Khorasan Province toward the development of ecosystem of entrepreneurship with the cooperation of all sectors, adding: North Khorasan is one of the new provinces of this field that has taken the first steps toward the development of ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. While it must move with a faster pace, it is on the right track. We must spend some time transforming some of the issues of the area. Efforts will be dedicated to realize the booming of the innovation ecosystem in the province with the infrastructural support and development science and technology park, innovation centers and accelerators.

According to Sattari, knowledge-based economy is based on two pillars of creative human resources and valuating the innovation of the human resources in the society.

He also regarded the recent entrance of the province into this field an advantage for move toward the development of ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation and accurate establishment of knowledge-based economy.

Sattari considered cooperation as a method to preserve the valuable human capital and accelerate the booming of ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Inauguration of Innovation Center of “Creative Village”

The innovation center of “creative village” was inaugurated in growth center of Shirvan in the presence of Sorena Sattari.

During this ceremony, Sattari listened to the concerns and problems of creative and technological youth and ordered the necessary support to facilitate the realization of goals of these individuals.

Unveiling Several Knowledge-based Achievements in North Khorasan Province

According to this report, the vice president for science and technology affairs unveiled several knowledge-based achievements and visited the latest achievements of knowledge-based and startup activists in the province.

On the first part of this trip, Sattari witnessed the opening of the production line of polymer asphalt by Larin Gam Knowledge-based Co. using domestic technology. In addition to reducing the relevant costs up to 60%, the polymer asphalt produced by this company has a high life expectancy. In addition, projects on the verge of industrial production and commercialization ability of North Khorasan University of Medical Sciences were unveiled during the visit of the university by Sattari. In this ceremony, Sattari visited the project of extracting phycocyanin protein pigment from spirulina platensis microalgae in University of Bojnurd.

In addition, the exhibition of achievements of knowledge-based companies of North Khorasan was opened in the science and technology park of the province in the presence of Sattari.

In addition to knowledge-based products and findings, achievements in the field of creative industries, technology units of science and technology park, and a number of industrial units of North Khorasan were showcased in the exhibition. Sattari also visited the booths of 12 knowledge-based companies and 11 creative companies and talked to their managers and authorities.

Furthermore, Sattari visited the growth center of technology units of University of Bojnurd, when the technologists based in the growth center introduced their latest achievements.
