Dr. Hasan Rouhani traveled to Malaysia to attend the Kuala Lumpur Summit. During a friendly meeting with Iranians residing in this country, he expressed his content with being present in a gathering of Iranians, stating: In its 11th government, Iran wanted to show the world that our problems with other countries can be eliminated by negotiation.
Booming of Non-oil Economy
Pointing out a decrease in the monthly inflation rate, compared to the previous government round, the president of Iran expressed: it is anticipated that Iran will have a positive economic growth, and a positive move has been initiated in the growth of non-oil economy. We have been able to establish self-reliance in many fields.
Dr. Rouhani mentioned the production of spare parts of cars produced in the country as one of the self-relied areas, adding: today, some spare parts that were imported in the country are produced domestically.
The president of Iran added: we had problems in the field of oil and gas installations and the construction of turbines and compressors. However, today, we are building ourselves up and the boycott and pressure of the enemies, despite the disruption in people"s lives, has led us to move towards self-sufficiency in some areas.
In response to the statements of representatives of academic professors and students residing in Malaysia, Dr. Rouhani marked: in the past few years, Iran has made good progress in the fields of nanotechnology, aerospace and biotechnology, and the joint research projects of Iranian universities abroad have greatly increased.
Creating the Right Environment for Science and Technology Companies
Dr. Rouhani declared: today"s atmosphere in the country is very suitable for knowledge-based companies and innovation factories. In the field of information technology and IT, we are seeing great progress, and statistics show that Iranian specialized and educated abroad enters the country for work and activity every three days.
Mentioning that Iran"s current environment is very conducive to science and technology, Dr. Rouhani added: in Iran, recruitment of elites and researchers is not only in universities, but in startups, and successful professors and students are attracted to this space, and the gap between university and production, university and technology, university and industry and market has decreased.
