Advisor on women affairs at Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs pointed out the design of a model for improving women’s activity based on three areas of modeling, empowering the infrastructure and development of the national network, stating: the presence of women in the technology and innovation ecosystem is about 25%.

Zeinab Hamidzadeh, advisor on women affairs at Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, mentioned that the number of women with academic degrees (80% have BScs) has increased by 17 times after the Islamic revolution of Iran on the opening ceremony of the first female innovation center. In this regard, she expressed: despite this growth, the presence of women in the technology and innovation ecosystem is about 25%, in a way that only 10% of managers of knowledge-based companies were women in 2017, which increased to 12% in 2018.

She also explained the increased attention to improving the activities of women in the country, marking: meanwhile, the suitable business and science production environment has been provided for these individuals. Therefore, this center is exploited by addressing three areas of modeling, infrastructure strengthening and developing a national network.

Advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs declared: this center is inaugurated with the cooperation of the Vice-Presidency, Execution of Imam Khomeini"s Order, and Iran University of Science and Technology so that the technological activities of women are developed and expanded in other provinces.
