The 9th meeting of Mustafa Prize Policy-making Meeting was held in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mahdi Safarinia, secretary of the policy-making council of Mustafa Prize, expressed during the meeting: the winners of the Mustafa Prize will be awarded in Vahdat Hall on November 11th, 2019.
He added: the third round of evaluation of the Mustafa Prize was carried out with four thousand people/hour. On this course, more than 500 drugs and international counselors and 200 universities from 35 countries cooperated with each other.
According to Safarinia, 1649 works were delivered, 201 of which reached the evaluation stage. In the end, nine individuals reached the final stage.
Pointing out other activities of the Mustafa Prize, Safarinia marked: members of the prize (381 members from 23 countries) have donated money to the investment and endowment fund of the Mustafa Prize.
Safarinia also mentioned the Step Meeting, expressing: the fourth Step Meeting (exchange of science and technology experiences) was held in Oman, and the fifth session was held in Karachi, Pakistan in 2018. On this international meeting, 64 scientists from 19 countries were able to showcase their achievements in various forms.
Secretary of the Policy-making Council of the Mustafa Prize marked: another measure taken in the event was holding the third ISA round. This event is held to present the achievements of scientists of the Islamic world to industries along with Step Meeting. On its third round, 14 companies were presented from Pakistan, Iran and Egypt. The result of the meeting was signing 10 cooperation agreement.
He added: Mustafa Art Museum has been established in Pardis Technology Park, where it is planned to present the language of art related to technology.

In addition, Hasan Zohour, head of the scientific group of the Mustafa Prize expressed about the evaluation process of the event: 664 works were delivered to the secretariat of the event in the first judgment stage, 106 of which were selected and reduced to four in the final stage.
He continued: 172 works were declined to 72 works in the nano field, none of which made it to the final round.
He also marked: in the public section, we received 614 works, only eight of which were selected. However, three individuals were selected in the final stage.
Pointing out the total number of delivered works, he affirmed: 1649 scientific works were delivered, only nine of which were selected as the final winners.
What is the Mustafa Prize?
The Mustafa Prize is held in line with appreciating the world of prominent scientists and laying the groundwork for cooperation and scientific and technological development in the world. This event was approved by the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution in 2012 as one of the symbols of scientific competence and excellence worldwide.
The prize is given to top scientists and researchers of the Islamic world every two years. In addition, it is given to an innovative work in the knowledge border, which is presented by prominent individuals and improves the human life.
Being a candidate for the prize will be possible based on a top theoretical and practical work, and the overall scientific activities of a person are considered by judges.
According to the executive document of the Mustafa Prize, Sorena Sattari (the vice president for science and technology affairs) and Mahdi Safarinia (head of Pardis Technology Park) were appointed as the head and secretary of the policy-making council of the prize, respectively.
