According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin's message states: "Students are symbols of hope, awareness and transformation; a group that has long been at the forefront of progress and justice in Iranian society and undoubtedly plays an unparalleled role in the scientific, cultural and social development of society; at important turning points in contemporary history, universities and students have not only been centers of knowledge acquisition, but also bastions of transformation and pioneering. The fact is evidence that "students" have a deeper meaning than being seekers of knowledge. In the safe and dynamic context of universities, away from superficial noise and controversy, students delve into the depths of issues, scrutinize and learn the ways and methods of critical thinking. They learn the art of analyzing and evaluating thought so that they can think correctly, clearly and accurately, get to the depths of issues and problems, and analyze problems with a realistic and impartial perspective.

Today, more than ever, the role of knowledge and science has become apparent in overcoming challenges and sustainable development; the tremendous potential, if properly identified and directed, will not only help solve fundamental issues but will also foster a hopeful, creative, and transformational generation. In the meantime, the student is not only a learner, but also a key player in this process.
